arete Australia has successfully delivered the integrated fitout for Virtus Health at 36 Wellington Street, Collingwood, relocating Melbourne IVF’s East Melbourne operations into a new, purpose-built facility.
Located across Levels 1, 2, 5 and part of the ground floor of the 15-storey commercial building, the facility now supports world-leading reproductive health services through a highly technical, specialist fitout.
The project included a fully operational day hospital with patient admission and recovery areas, day theatres for procedures, and an advanced IVF laboratory with a direct dumbwaiter link to the theatre spaces. It also incorporated a dedicated andrology laboratory, PCR and PGT laboratories, a liquid nitrogen storage facility and an on-site pharmacy. The front-of-house areas feature consult rooms, reception and admission zones, along with commercial office spaces for Virtus Health’s operations.
This project showcased arete capability in delivering complex medical and laboratory environments with precision, coordination and care.
