arete Australia has been engaged by La Trobe University to revitalise the BS1 Nursing & Midwifery building at the Bundoora campus.
The project involves structural strengthening through steel bracing and concrete piling, installation of a new goods lift and precast core, a high-voltage electrical kiosk, and replacement of the rooftop plant and roof structure.
Internally, Level 2 will be fitted out with new nursing simulation suites, while Levels 3 and 4 will be delivered as cold shell lab spaces for future use. New amenities, seismic upgrades and improvements to public realm areas will further enhance the building’s functionality and compliance.
